The Black is 5 La Gloria Medio Tiempo Robusto ( 5 X 54 ). Time to learn some cigar facts, my friends. Medio Tiempo describes of top two leaves of a tobacco plant. These leaves are closest to the sun and get all the goodness the plant has to offer. The issue is that these leaves are hard to work with and don't get used or featured that often. Between one in eight to twelve plants can yield usable Medio Tiempo! The good people at Forged Cigars scored some of these leaves and came up with this blend. These US Connecticut Habano Meido Tiempo tobacco leaves are combined with a Connecticut broadleaf binder, fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, and wrapped inside of a thick Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The flavors are nice; offering hints of baking spices, sweetness, and caramel.
The Tan is 5 Aging Room Havao Treble ( 6 X 50 ) cigars. This GREAT cigar is another 91-rated cigar from Rafael Nodel and Jochy Blanco. This Dominican Puro is blended with an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut-seed wrapper and Dominican Habano Criollo filler tobaccos. Produced in limited quantities, this offering is a carefully constructed, creamy, and spicy smoke with great flavor nuances and a long, savory finish. Mild to medium in strength but, full in flavor!
