The Labor Day Holiday is fast approaching. If you are like me, there will be a party complete with food, alcohol, and cigars. Here are a few tips to make your Labor Day party go smoothly.

1) Get your cigars in time. Don't wait until the last minute to order! Things happen with USPS or UPS that are beyond the control of you and I. Now let's talk about the cigars. Think of your guests. Do they prefer more mellow or even flavored cigars? I always keep a good variety in an extra humidor for those that prefer something different than me.Check out www.cigarsamplers.com for a great variety of cigars!!!

2) Have plenty of ashtrays, lighters, and cutters ready. I also like to put out a can of gas too for those that need it. If you want to be fancy, add some cedar spills to the mix. I have several Stinky ashtrays around my designated smoking area. 

3) Smoked food just tastes better with cigars. My " go-to's" include pulled pork, brisket, beef tenderloin and burgers. I also like to serve up smoked mac & cheese. I find that this type of food pairs well with cigars. 

4) The bar. I like to have a little variety when having a get together. Bourbon, scotch, good beer, and rum are all proven winners and go great with cigars. Pro tip, ginger beer or ginger beer cocktails are amazing with cigars. You have to try it.
