The Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur ( 5 X 50 ) is odd. Why do you ask? Well, I have no idea what size this cigar is and I can't find it on the internet. It's bigger than the Rothschild and smaller than Governors. I have no idea how I scored an exclusive size? (I measured it and it's closer to 5.25 inches...still a Robusto) What is not odd is the taste and blend. This cigar is more medium to full in body and the heaviest cigar in this offering. Handmade in the famous Villazon factory of Honduras, Hoyos consist of a complex blend of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Cuban seed Dominican filler and Connecticut wrapper. The Perdomo Lot 23 Connecticut Robusto ( 5 X 50 ) is named after one of Tabacalera Perdomo's farms located near its factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The blend is a combination of exquisite filler and binder tobaccos grown exclusively on the Lot 23 Finca or farm. After harvesting the tobacco and aging it in bale for four years, the cigars are then rolled and aged in one of Perdomo's large aging rooms for another six months before being sent to their office in Miami for distribution. The Ortega Serie D Connecticut Robusto ( 5 X 50 ) is a mellow to mellow-medium-bodied smoke that provides an easygoing and satisfying experience. These well-crafted smokes and natural tobacco flavors pair nicely with a wide range of drinks. This cigar is wrapped in a beautiful Ecuador Connecticut wrapper.
