The Bella Artes Maduro Figurado ( 6.5 X 52 ) is made by Aj Fernandez in Nicaragua. Look, AJ Fernandez makes great cigars. He is meticulous in every facet of making his product. From growing, aging, sorting, rolling to packaging Aj is right there inspecting it all! This blend is made up of a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper over a Mexican San Andres binder and a blend of aged Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos. The cigar has hints of chocolate, espresso, and sweet spice. This is a great example of Aj's work and is medium to medium-plus in body.
The Cult Original Toro ( 6 X 52 ) blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that covers Nicaraguan long-filler and an Indonesian binder. Well crafted with hints of spice and earth, it's a winner and medium in body.
The Oliva Serie V ( 5 X 54 ) is one of my top 10 "go-to" cigars. I've been visiting this factory and loving their cigars for about 20 years now. The blend and the effort make this cigar special. The blend consists of a flavorful sun-grown Habano wrapper. The insides are specially fermented Nicaraguan ligero binder and filler leaves. They do age the ligero a bit to make it a tad more mellow. However, this cigar is still a powerhouse and should not be taken lightly! Tasting notes include pepper, spice, and espresso.
The Juarez OBS ( 4.75 X 52 ) by Crowned Heads is a fantastic smoke. Rolled with a Mexican San Andres wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, this cigar is a medium to medium-plus thrill ride. This cigar boasts hints of chocolate, pepper, and oak. The construction is amazing!
