Product Description
Robusto-sized cigars are as popular today as ever. If you have 30-40 minutes to enjoy, Robusto-sized smokes fit the bill. This Cigar Samplers offering is a true mix of Maduro's from the main 3 growing countries and they all happen to be classified, by the makers, as Robusto.
The Bella Artes Maduro Robusto ( 5.5 X 52 ) is made by Aj Fernandez in Nicaragua. Look, AJ Fernandez makes great cigars. He is meticulous in every facet of making his product. From growing, aging, sorting, rolling to packaging Aj is right there inspecting it all! This blend is made up of a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper over a Mexican San Andres binder and a blend of aged Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos. The cigar has hints of chocolate, espresso, and sweet spice. This is a great example of Aj's work and is medium to medium-plus in body.
The Fratello Robusto ( 5.5 X 52) is a Nicaraguan small-batch boutique cigar with rich complex flavors, beautifully constructed using the hand-selected tobaccos. The blend is comprised of long-leaf filler tobacco from two distinct growing areas in Nicaragua and Peru. These fillers are held together with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and the wrapper is Nicaraguan Habano. The Fratello really packs a bunch of flavor into this balanced cigar. Medium to medium-plus in body.
Gran Habano Corojo #5 Robusto ( 5 X 52 ) is a solid smoke hailing from Honduras. This cigar could very well be one of the best Corojo cigars in the world. This smokey and peppery blend consists of Nicaraguan Corojo leaf wrapper paired with perfectly aged tobaccos from Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. George and his father are great guys crafting great cigars. This one tends to be a bit on the full side!
The Aging Room Solera Maduro Festivo ( 4 3/4 X 52 ) is another gem from Rafael Nodel and Jochy Blanco. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, these cigars are made using the Solera method. By using the Solera method for blending wine, Rafael Nodal has created a one-of-a-kind cigar with a blend of Dominican Habano long-fillers and binders of different vintages and years. The cigar is then wrapped with a dark, oily, and naturally sweet-tasting Mexican Maduro wrapper. Very interesting and cool at the same time. The cigar is fuller, very complex, and gives a peppery hit on the retro-hail.
This is another great sampler. It offers a variety of tastes from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. Even the Robusto size is shown off in different formats here. The "standard" Robusto is 5 X 50. These 4 cigars are anything but "standard". Add a more than fair price plus FREE shipping to this and you have a winner and people LOVE a winner!
