The La Duena Robusto (5 X 50 )is a collaboration by Jaime Garcia of My Father cigars and Pete Johnson of Tatuaja. This medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan treat is an homage to Janny Garcia, daughter of 'Pepin' Garcia and sister to Jaime, all three of which run the My Father company in Esteli. La Duena features notes of earth, leather, and pepper. This cigar flies under the radar and shouldn't.
The Alec Bradley Blind Faith Robusto ( 5 X 52 ) is made in Honduras and is one of the first cigars made by Alan Rubin's sons. The blend starts with a Habano wrapper grown in Trojes, Honduras. Underneath is a double binder from Honduras and Nicaragua. The fillers are a three-leaf combination of Nicaraguan goodness. Medium to full in body the Blind Faith has notes of spice and white peppers. Alec and Bradley have stepped up and are making great cigars like their father!
The Fratello Inverso Robusto ( 5 X 52 ) is a twist on the original Fratello Navetta. The blend of the cigar is actually an inverse of the Navetta line the company introduced in 2017. It uses a Nicaraguan habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Compared to the original Ecuadorian oscuro wrapper over a Dominican binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The body is medium to medium-plus with hints of pepper, coffee and dark chocolate.
The Flor de Ynclan Robusto ( 5 X 50 ) by Villiger was named Cigar Aficionados 10th Top Cigar of the Year in 2017. The blend is comprised of an Ecuadorian wrapper covering a tasty Indonesian binder hand-selected for the best quality and aged Nicaraguan and Dominican long-filler tobaccos. Medium to medium plus, this great smoke delivers hints of citrus, oak, and pepper.
