Instead of "hard and fast", here are some "soft and slow" rules. Connecticut wrappers tend to be a bit lighter and creamier. Some would say buttery and a bit nutty also. Habano wrappers lean towards a spicy and peppery taste. A Maduro wrapper tends to be darker. Maduro means ripe in Spanish. Maduro wrappers are a bit sweeter, thicker, and remind me of cacao beans.Lastly, Sungrown wrappers lean towards a stronger, fuller, and more peppery side. What matters most is what you like!
