The Sindicato Cubico Toro ( 6 X 54 ) is handcrafted at the NACSA factory in Esteli under the watchful eye of Omar Ortez. This factory kinda flies under the radar. However, they make some killer sticks and the Cubico is just one of the 1,000's of brands they pump out. I can vouch for their quality control and all-around standards. They are top-notch! The makeup of these cigars starts with a flawless Ecuadorian Cubano wrapper. Cubico uses a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Tasting notes include a natural sweetness with cocoa, pepper, and cedar.
The Gurkha Marquesa Toro ( 6 X 54 ) may be one of the best offerings in the Gurkha stable. Marquesa is a refined blend, boasting Nicaraguan fillers from the Estelí and Ometepe regions. This mixture is then bound by a Nicaraguan leaf and wrapped with an oily Sumatran wrapper. The tasting notes on this medium-bodied gem include nuts, spices, cedar, and graham crackers. The Perla Del Mar Corojo Toro ( 6 1/4 X 54 ) is another box-pressed winner from the JC Newman team in Nicaragua. The wrapper is a stunning Corojo seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, it offers great spice from the first puff. Inside, a blend of all Nicaraguan long-fillers from the three main growing regions of Nicaragua bring all the goodness to the table. Tasting notes include silky pepper, oak, and baking spices.
Onyx Bold Nicaragua Toro ( 6 X 54 ) is yet another collaboration between Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability for Tabacalera USA, and famous-maker AJ Fernandez. The cigars are expertly rolled at the AJ Fernandez factory in Nicaragua with Nicaraguan tobaccos that have been aged for a minimum of four years. These two have been making some awesome cigars together and this is no exception! This medium-plus cigar features a dark and oily San Andres maduro wrapper that imparts flavors of dried fruit, chocolate, cream, and espresso. This cigar is destined for great things!
